The Hacienda

The owner of this home had three wishes. The home was to have ample space for her artwork, be “green” built, and unique in its style. Designed by architect Carole Wylie, the home has all of that and more. The home features curving walls of Styrofoam filled concrete, reclaimed timber, stained concrete floors with radiant heat, art niches, a round library, and much more.

The home is very energy efficient and relatively fireproof. This home was also featured in San Diego Home and Garden and on the 2003 “green” tour
